Lock Picks
Most locks can be overcome by brute force, however if you need to open locks covertly, or leave them intact when you are done, you need skill, finesse, and some good equipment. A basic set of lock picks is comprised of a torsion wrench which applies tension to the lock plug, which is used in conjunction with one of a variety of picks that are used to test and manipulate the pins. A basic set of lock picks should do for many common locks, but some specialized locks require more specific tools. With the right equipment a skilled lock smith can pick a simple lock in a matter of seconds.
